The Cambium WB3211A is a Tyco/AMP ratchet crimp tool built to terminate RJ45 modular plug connectors onto Cambium's infrastructure-grade clad cable. It is the manufacturer-specified tool for crimping the WB3177B unscreened RJ45 connector onto WB3175A and WB3176A clad cable, the drop cable run used on PTP 670, PTP 700, PMP 450m, and PMP 450i installations. Unlike many bare crimp tool frames on the market, the WB3211A ships complete with its 8-position crimp die already installed and ready to use.

What It's For
Cambium specifies two cable grades for PTP and PMP installations: an industrial grade cable using a shielded RJ45 connector and crimp tool, and an infrastructure grade clad cable using the unscreened WB3177B connector and this WB3211A tool. If your installation uses Cambium's infrastructure-grade WB3175A or WB3176A clad cable, this is the correct crimp tool, and the WB3177B is the correct connector. The two parts are designed and sold as a matched pair.
