The Cambium WB3177B is a Tyco/AMP RJ45 modular plug connector, sold in a 100-pack, used to terminate the Ethernet drop cable that runs from a Cambium PTP, PMP, or cnPilot radio down to the indoor network or PoE injector. This is the unscreened (unshielded) version, built for standard outdoor-rated Ethernet drop cable on fixed wireless installations.

Key Features

  • Two-piece modular plug design. The clear plastic plug body works with a separate black load bar insert that organizes and stabilizes the conductors before crimping, improving termination consistency over single-piece plugs on stranded outdoor cable.
  • Gold-plated contacts. Eight gold-plated pins provide reliable, low-resistance connections for gigabit data and PoE current alike.
  • Unscreened construction. Matched to standard unshielded twisted pair (UTP) drop cable runs, which is what most Cambium PTP and PMP installations specify for radio-to-LAN connections.
  • 100-pack quantity. Bulk packaging sized for installers and integrators who terminate multiple radio drops per job rather than one-off field repairs.
  • Manufacturer cross-reference. Genuine TE Connectivity (Tyco/AMP) connector, sourced and packaged under the Cambium Networks part number for direct compatibility with Cambium-specified cable runs.

Compatibility Note

This connector is unscreened and intended for standard UTP drop cable. If your installation uses shielded (STP) cable for additional EMI protection on a noisy rooftop or tower site, confirm you need a shielded RJ45 plug instead, since the two are not interchangeable on shielded runs.
