Adapts APX portable for use in a vehicular environment with an interface to Motorola Solutions mobile radio audio accessories, IMPRES battery charging, external vehicle mounted antenna. Includes mounting hardware, vehicle electrical system power harness, mounting, and wiring directions. Only charges; new battery initialization and regular calibration required in IMPRES(TM) 2 Single Unit Charger (NNTN8860, NNTN8860_TAA) or Multi-Unit Charger (NNTN8844) IMPRES.
Audio accessories and vehicle mounted antenna purchased separately. Transmit audio and PTT via APX palm microphone (HMN1090), keypad microphone (HMN4079), visor microphone (RMN5054) and external PTT (GLN7278 or RLN5926). Receive audio from either APX device speaker or optional external speaker (HSN4038). VA audio accessory interfaces are same as the APX mobile control head microphone port and the transceiver rear accessory port. External vehicle mounted antenna interface is mini-UHF jack. VA charger always ON when APX device inserted; charger may be wired to be ON only when vehicle is on, or ON continuously independent of vehicle state.
